Recently, I’ve had a lot on my plate—managing stress around my elderly mother living alone in Florida and worrying about the effects of the recent hurricane. During these tough times, I noticed something: when I was well-fed, those stressful phone calls with my mom were easier to handle. I was able to show up mentally sharp and patient for her, and trust me, it made a big difference.
Nutrition isn’t just about hitting physical performance goals; it’s about mental clarity and emotional resilience too.
