Purpose.
It’s powerful.
And when it starts to fade, so do we—mentally, physically, emotionally.
I’ve seen it happen, especially after retirement. But for me, my purpose hasn’t shrunk—it’s grown. Every single day.
I have three sons I’d go to the ends of the earth for. I’ve somehow kept them alive for nearly 80 combined years (give or take a few gray hairs). And now… they’re the ones keeping me alive. They give my life incredible meaning. And don’t even get me started on that grandson of mine—or the granddaughter on the way.
That’s fuel right there.
That’s fire in the belly.
That’s purpose.
To all the dads, granddads, and father figures out there: you matter more than you know. Your presence, your example, your energy—it shapes lives.
You don’t have to be perfect.
Just consistent. Present. Purposeful.
Whether it’s sitting down for dinner, showing up to church, or picking up a weight to keep yourself strong… your choices ripple through your family tree for generations.
So this week, honor yourself by taking care of your health—not just for you, but for them. Let’s be the strongest, most capable, most joyful version of ourselves—for our families, our futures, and our purpose.
