Here’s the trap I’m seeing more and more:
Someone starts a GLP-1, their appetite drops, and suddenly they think they need to “burn more” with endless cardio, bootcamps, or circuit classes.
🚨 Nope. Wrong direction.
Your calorie deficit is already handled by your appetite.
So your job in the gym isn’t to torch calories — it’s to protect the good stuff:
💪 Muscle → Metabolic gold. Lose it, and that “my metabolism slowed down” story becomes very real.
⚡ Strength → Lifting grandkids, playing golf, or getting off the couch without a grunt… strength is quality of life.
Real talk:
- Medicine won’t replace movement.
- Supplements won’t replace sleep.
- And GLP-1s won’t preserve muscle — that part’s on you.
So if you’re on a GLP-1 and your workout looks like a cardio bootcamp from 1997…
It’s time for a new plan. 😉
